PROJECT CONTROL (Schola)
Training goals : Develop planning and controlling skills during a project
This simulation has been created by Prendo Simulations Limited, a UK limited company, in collaboration with Cranfield School of Management.
The Schola simulation gives participating teams an opportunity to practise using a range of project management tools and techniques, including:
• risk and stakeholder analysis
• work breakdown structures
• logical flow and critical path analysis
• bar charts
• resource allocation
• Earned Value analysis

• Project team members, project sponsors, consultants and anyone responsible for a project

Training context :
• Under a trainer's supervision
• Participants organised in teams of 3 or 4, in order to share experiences
Training goals : Develop the key skills needed to plan and control projects
Duration : Within 1 or 2 days workshop
Structure of simulation : Dialogues between participants and virtual characters
Scenario : Follow-up of a generic project
• Photo-realistic environment en 2D static (no move)
• More than 5000 possibilities of written dialogues
The simulation challenges teams to use the techniques simultaneously and it gives them a chance to experience the difficult trade-offs and the “juggling” act that project managers usually face. Contacts are taken by email, phone calls, meetings.
The simulation is typically used within 1 and 2 day workshops, for between 9 and 40 participants.
